Textile Arts

I grew up with quilts from my maternal Grandma that wrapped me in love and colors throughout my childhood. She was a quilter and seamstress, and often repurposed fabrics from clothing, curtains, and worn quilts.

I try my best to utilize remnants of fabric scraps and worn-clothing for textile projects such as fabric garlands, star ornaments, and facemasks.

I also hand sew small owl pouches from remnants of felt pieces, buttons, and embroidery thread from 2nd hand stores. And similar to my woodblock prints, these project allows me lots of room for color exploration.
